1. Sneaker Peekers: Bye-Bye Stinky Shoes!

Turn those smelly sneakers into adorable creatures with this fun craft that doubles as a deodorizer.

What You Need:

  • 1 new, white athletic sock (mid-calf size)
  • 1 cup ARM & HAMMER™ Baking Soda
  • 1 rubber band
  • 6" ribbon or string
  • Felt, markers, buttons, sequins, and glue for decorating

What to Do:

  1. Lay down newspaper to protect your work surface.
  2. Fill the sock with baking soda and secure it with a rubber band.
  3. Tie the ribbon around the rubber band and cut off the extra sock.
  4. Decorate with felt, markers, and other embellishments to create a unique creature.
  5. Stick them in sneakers overnight for fresh shoes in the morning!



2. Magic Beans: A Science Experiment with a Wow Factor

Amaze your kids with this simple science experiment that makes objects rise and fall like magic!

What You Need:

  • Vase or wide-mouthed clear jar
  • ¼ cup vinegar
  • 3 teaspoons ARM & HAMMER™ Baking Soda
  • Food coloring

What to Do:

  1. Fill the vase/jar with water.
  2. Add a few drops of food coloring.
  3. Add the vinegar, then the baking soda.
  4. Drop in small objects like rice, buttons, or pasta and watch them dance!





3. Tie Dye Slime: Ooey Gooey Fun!

Get groovy with this colorful tie-dye slime that's perfect for sensory play.

What You Need:

  • 5 small bowls
  • 2 ½ teaspoons ARM & HAMMER™ Baking Soda
  • 5 colors of food coloring
  • Clear liquid glue
  • Saline solution

What to Do:

  1. Divide glue into the bowls, add baking soda to each, and mix well.
  2. Add different food coloring to each bowl and stir.
  3. Gradually add saline solution to each bowl until the slime forms.
  4. Knead the slime with your hands until it reaches the desired consistency.
  5. Twist the different colored slimes together to create a tie-dye effect!





4. Natural Play Clay: Molding Fun for Hours

This homemade play clay is a safe and fun alternative to store-bought clay.

What You Need:

  • 2 cups ARM & HAMMER™ Baking Soda
  • 1 cup cornstarch
  • 1 ¼ cups water
  • Food coloring (optional)

What to Do:

  1. Combine baking soda and cornstarch in a saucepan.
  2. Add water and food coloring (if desired).
  3. Cook over medium heat, stirring constantly, until it reaches the consistency of mashed potatoes.
  4. Remove from heat, cover with a damp cloth, and let cool.
  5. Once cool, knead until smooth and let the creativity begin!





5. Bubbly Bath Fizzies: Make Bath Time a Blast!

Turn ordinary bath time into a fizzy explosion of fun with these homemade bath bombs.

What You Need:

  • 2 teaspoons unsweetened lemon drink mix
  • 1 teaspoon flour or cornstarch
  • 4 teaspoons baby oil or mineral oil
  • 4 teaspoons ARM & HAMMER™ Baking Soda
  • Food coloring

What to Do:

  1. Mix the dry ingredients (drink mix, flour/cornstarch, baking soda) in a bowl.
  2. In a separate bowl, mix the oil with food coloring.
  3. Slowly combine the wet and dry ingredients.
  4. Form small balls and let them dry for 24-48 hours.
  5. Drop them in the bath and watch the fizz!







6. Erupting Volcano: The Classic Science Experiment

Recreate the excitement of a volcanic eruption with this classic science project.

What You Need:

  • Cardboard
  • Plastic cup
  • Plaster of Paris
  • Paint
  • ARM & HAMMER™ Baking Soda
  • ¼ cup vinegar
  • Dish soap
  • Red food coloring

What to Do:

  1. Build a volcano shape with cardboard and plaster of Paris.
  2. Let it dry and paint it.
  3. Mix vinegar, dish soap, and red food coloring in a cup.
  4. Place baking soda in a small cup inside the volcano's crater.

Let your kids create their own paint with this simple recipe.

What You Need:

  • 2 tablespoons ARM & HAMMER™ Baking Soda
  • 2 tablespoons flour
  • 2 teaspoons sugar
  • 1 packet dry unsweetened drink mix
  • 2 tablespoons water

What to Do:

  1. Mix the dry ingredients in a bowl.
  2. Add water and stir until the fizzing stops.
  3. Use the mixture to paint right away or let it harden for later use.
